JetGEO, Crocoblock’s new WordPress release: AI crawler control or just a marketing layer?

🆕 Crocoblock is announcing JetGEO, a new WordPress plugin designed to manage AI access to your content. Between useful promises and promotional claims, it’s better to separate what is documented from what still remains to be proven in the field.

Crocoblock announced the release of JetGEO, a new WordPress plugin presented as a Generative Engine Optimization. According to the official JetGEO product page and its dedicated help center, the plugin centralizes several functions: generation of llms.txt, access control via robots.txt, content exposure in Markdown, visibility rules for AI, and crawler activity tracking.

What Crocoblock confirms about JetGEO today

The positioning is clear: help WordPress site owners make their content more readable and more controllable for AI systems. Crocoblock also states that JetGEO works independently of the page builder used, on the WordPress structure side.

The potentially useful point, in practice, is bringing several settings together in a single interface. For a team already juggling content, indexing, and access rules, that can simplify maintenance 💡

Where you need to keep a cool head

At this stage, the announced benefits remain those of the vendor. The plugin promises to improve content preparation for AI, but the corpus does not demonstrate, through independent results, any real gain in visibility in generative responses.

The same caution applies to the GEO logic: generating an llms.txt file, offering clean Markdown, or logging crawlers can be useful, but that is not automatically a strategy. A reflex is not a strategy: diagnose before acting. If your problem concerns traditional indexing, editorial quality, or site architecture, JetGEO will replace neither analysis nor decision-making.

What you can do without overreacting

If you already use Crocoblock, focus above all on four points: what level of cache or access is involved, what symptom you are observing, which bots are actually seen in the logs, and which action remains reversible 🔎

JetGEO is interesting as a control layer for WordPress, especially if the team already uses the Crocoblock ecosystem. But AI visibility, technical hygiene, and proof of performance should not be confused. The right editorial angle is not “finally, the GEO solution,” but rather: a new dashboard for properly testing settings that are still shifting.
